Fitsum Andargatchew (LLB, LLM), Lywam Aseffa (LLB, LLM) and Simret Zewdie (LLB, MPhil, LLM) founded FLS Law Office in March 2016. Eyasu Mokenen (LLB, LLM) joined the Office in August 2018.

The founding members of FLS Law Office as well as other attorneys working in the Office are individually licensed to practice law in Ethiopia. Fitsum Andargatchew obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Addis Ababa University. She completed her graduate studies oversees and obtained  Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Sandiego, USA, in Comparative Law with a focus on Business and Corporate Law.  Simret Zewdie obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Addis Ababa University. She studied her graduate studies in Norway and obtained master of philosophy (Mphil) in theory and practice of human rights and LLM in information and communications technology law both from University of Oslo.
